Telynor's Library, and then some

A woman of a certain age who has three cats underfoot, and has the dream of filling her passport with stamps. Books, classical music, tea, cats, movies, art, fancy needlework,  and anything else I can think of.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks - Rebecca Skloot Quite a story involving race, medicine, cancer, and poverty and the very remarkable story of Henrietta Lacks. Be warned, some of this book is rather shocking and should make you wonder about the role of ethics in medical research. I found myself unsettled, and still enjoyed reading this one. It's complicated, gets rather technical in spots, but for a lay reader like me, I found it to be compelling. Four stars overall, and very much recommended.
