Quite a story involving race, medicine, cancer, and poverty and the very remarkable story of Henrietta Lacks. Be warned, some of this book is rather shocking and should make you wonder about the role of ethics in medical research. I found myself unsettled, and still enjoyed reading this one. It's complicated, gets rather technical in spots, but for a lay reader like me, I found it to be compelling. Four stars overall, and very much recommended.
