Telynor's Library, and then some

A woman of a certain age who has three cats underfoot, and has the dream of filling her passport with stamps. Books, classical music, tea, cats, movies, art, fancy needlework,  and anything else I can think of.

The Noonday Demon: An Atlas of Depression - Andrew Solomon Despite finding this to be a well-written book, I just can't recommend it. In many ways, Mr. Solomon's deductions about mental illness, primarily depression, were too sweeping. I've learnt over the years that each case and treatment has to be fine tuned, and that what works for one person, won't work for another. Still, there are some very valid and pertinent points in this and it does make a good jumping off point to understanding depression and how it affects people's lives. Three stars overall.
