While the lead story, which tells the tale of Donna and Anthony Pignataro, is a good one, the other four felt like filler to me. Still, compared to most other true crime writers, Ann Rule never goes for the sensationalistic tabloid style. All the stories here are ones certain to send a chill down your spine, and should help you to keep your head when you meet someone that is a bit too charming. Four stars overall, recommended.
