Telynor's Library, and then some

A woman of a certain age who has three cats underfoot, and has the dream of filling her passport with stamps. Books, classical music, tea, cats, movies, art, fancy needlework,  and anything else I can think of.

Up and Down Stairs: The History of the Country House Servant - Jeremy Musson This one I can cheerfully recommend to anyone interested in learning about the servant classes who worked on the great English estates. It's informative, smartly written, and full of little things that I had not known before. If you liked the films Manor House, Gosford Park or Downton Abbey, you'll probably want to find this book. Very much recommended and a keeper for me.
