A very evocative and disturbing account of growing up in a fundmentalist religion. I found Elissa Wall's story to be horrifying as she describes the breakup of her polygamous family, and her forced marriage at the age of fourteen to a brutal cousin. How she managed to get out of the control of Warren Jeffs and his cult is eventually a heartening story of courage and endurance. Not for the sensitive but if you are curious as to how religion can turn into a such a brainwashing, controlling environment, this is a good start.
