Telynor's Library, and then some

A woman of a certain age who has three cats underfoot, and has the dream of filling her passport with stamps. Books, classical music, tea, cats, movies, art, fancy needlework,  and anything else I can think of.

Dodger - Terry Pratchett I had a grand time with this fantasy set in an alternate London during Queen Victoria's reign. Dodger is a tosher -- a scavenger in the sewers -- who impulsively rescues a young woman in trouble, and finds out that the world is much more than he ever could imagine. All sorts of historical figures come in and out of this story, and dished up with Terry Pratchett's blend of sardonic humour and wicked barbs. Well-written, lively, and moves along at a brisk pace. Those who like his work will find this one very enjoyable. Four stars overall, and recommended.
