The first book in the Huxatable series. This one wasn't too bad, and Ms. Balogh is quite up to the mark in this one. I found Vanessa, the middle sister of the set, to be one of the more interesting characters, and had quite a bit of history to her before the story started. To give her sisters and brother some security, she married very young, to a dying man, and has quite a few scars from the relationship before she meets Lord Lyngate -- I'll not give away any more of the plot here. It's better than most historical romances.
